Clinical Supervisor

Hello!

Practicing for over 15 years with all sorts of people, I have a particular passion for supporting couples, helping individuals process their trauma, and just generally guiding people to access their inner power to bring useful positive change, to build more satisfying connections, and to experience more love, joy, and peace in their lives. Additionally, I am a supervisor offering supervision services and training for other therapists.

I offer this passion and skill to the Collingwood community and surrounding areas. Utilizing evidence-based interventions, I help clients navigate life’s challenges, including overwhelming circumstances such as depression, anxiety, loss, and relationship struggles. My positive-regard approach has helped many clients rediscover hope, joy, and healing in their lives and relationships.

I believe in the importance of ongoing training, growth, and professional development. This commitment ensures that my clients receive therapy that is current, practical, effective, and tailored to their needs. By working collaboratively, I create a healing framework and therapy plan that provides the best possible therapeutic experience.

Sometimes the trauma we carry is so debilitating that traditional talk therapy alone can’t provide lasting resolution. This is where somatic and specialized modalities like EMDR and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) fill the gap. I am trained in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). Additionally, my holistic toolkit includes the Fundamentals of Natural Lifemanship (Equine Therapy), Mother-Foal Bonding (MFB) within Emotional Horsemanship, and I am a NAMA Court-Approved Anger Management Specialist (I & II).

While each of these tools offers profound relief, DBR is a uniquely precise technique. It works by accessing and processing traumatic shock in the lower brain before the emotional and cognitive layers of the event take over, making it an incredibly safe and grounding approach to trauma work. I encourage you to ask me more about it when we meet—I look forward to connecting with you! 🙂
